Corneal edemas are characterized by excess fluid in the cornea. ODM5, hypersaline solution, by osmotic effect attracts these excess fluids out of the cornea, allowing it to transiently regain a state of normal hydration. ODM5 thus participates in improving the quality of vision. ODM5 contains sodium hyaluronate, a component naturally present in the eye, which, through its lubricating properties, helps protect the cornea.
