Articular cartilages are like shock absorbers. Placed between 2 hard bones, they avoid friction and lesions, which without their presence would be inevitable. They consist of 80% water molecules arranged in a mesh of 15% braided fibers which form the structure and 5% chondrocytes, the active cells of the cartilage.

Chondrocytes regulate synthesis and destruction within cartilage to maintain healthy tissue. The cartilages are weakly vascularized, which makes their healing difficult. When the joint is put under tension, the water leaves the mesh and the cartilage is thinner. When it returns to rest, the water resumes its place.

If there are mechanical or biological events that destabilize the balance of degradation and synthesis of articular chondrocytes, morphological, biochemical, molecular and biomechanical changes are observed that cause fibrillations, ulcerations and loss of articular cartilage, sclerosis in the subchondral bone and production of osteophytes. These lesions cause lameness, pain and reduced movement.

USE

Glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are essential constituents of cartilage. Curcumin and green tea polyphenols including epigallocatechin gallate are powerful natural antioxidants that help neutralize free radicals. It is advisable to administer Mobility SuppTM for a minimum period of 1 month. The amount of Mobility SuppTM to be administered may vary depending on your pet’s needs. Mobility SuppTM from Miloa can be administered continuously. The tablets are very palatable and spontaneously accepted by the majority of dogs and cats. They can also be crumbled and mixed into food.
