Daktarin is a medicine for external use against infections caused by fungi (contains a substance which destroys fungi, miconazole).
The cream is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by two important species of fungi, namely dermatophytes and yeasts. As the active substance also acts against the most common skin bacteria, you can also use the cream in case of infections caused by fungi and aggravated by such bacteria.
The cream can be used at the same time as the powder in case of infection on the buttocks of babies (diaper dermatitis) and in the treatment of infections located in the folds of the skin (groin area, between the fingers or the toes, under the breasts, …).
You should contact your doctor if you do not feel any improvement or if you feel less well.
Use:
For external use.
Apply a little cream twice a day to the lesions and massage it in well with your fingers until the cream is fully absorbed. If the cream is used together with the powder, it is recommended to apply them once a day. It is not recommended to put an occlusive dressing on the cream as this does not provide any additional benefit.
