Advantage 40 pipettes for cats and rabbits are an anti-flea treatment. It has been developed to help prevent and treat flea infestations in pet cats and rabbits weighing less than 4 kg.

The cat flea (Ctenocephalides felis) is a parasitic insect that infests the animal’s coat. Hematophagous, it bites it to feed on its blood, which can generate itching as well as inflammatory reactions likely to cause the animal to scratch, sometimes to the point of injury. This is a considerable nuisance for the well-being of the animal. To this is added the fact that flea eggs hatch at ground level and are able to jump on an animal or a human who passes nearby. Fleas must therefore be eliminated and reinfestations prevented.

This is what Advantage 40 allows for cats and rabbits < 4 kg. It is formulated with imidacloprid, an insecticide. It is packaged in the form of easy-to-handle pipettes. Once deposited on the animal, Advantage 40 Spot on will diffuse over all of its skin. It prevents reinfestation for 21-30 days in cats and 7 days in rabbits.

It can be part of a treatment program for FPD (Allergic Flea Bite Dermatitis) in cats, after diagnosis by a veterinarian.
