Food type and category
Complementary food for animals
Use
In dogs (small and medium size ≤ 20 kg), cats and NAC: ALPHAZIUM® 5 is a complementary food to be used in situations that may impact the well-being and/or behavioral balance of the animal, origin of undesirable behavioral manifestations.
Many situations can cause a disturbance in the well-being or behavioral balance of the animal: change of environment (travel, moving, arrival in the home of a new person or a new animal, visits to the veterinarian, hospitalization, boarding, etc.), fireworks, education, etc.
Disturbance of well-being or behavioral balance manifests itself differently depending on the species:
– In cats, it can result in urinary markings, inappropriate eliminations, scratching, vocalization, inhibition, withdrawal, escape, etc.
– In dogs, it can result in panting, trembling, yawning, vomiting, emotional urination or defecation, threatening reactions, flight, etc.
Manual
Oral administration.
Indicative quantity for a 5 kg animal: one capsule per day, either directly in the animal’s mouth, or by dispersing the powder contained in the capsule on the food (dry or wet).
For NAC, dilute the contents of the capsule in 25 mL of water, shake the solution well and give the necessary quantity, in proportion to the weight of the animal; example: 1 mL for a 200 g rodent.
ALPHAZIUM® 5 is used:
– in the long term: per period of one month, renewable depending on developments. In this case, it must be used in addition to overall behavioral therapy.
– in the short term: 1 to 3 days before the known event that could potentially cause discomfort, then for a few days after this event.
The palatability of ALPHAZIUM® 5 facilitates its administration, after dispersing the powder on the food.
Your veterinarian may need to adapt the proposed instructions for use. Follow its recommendations carefully.
Precautions for use
ALPHAZIUM® 5 should be stored at room temperature.

Ingredient properties and product characteristics
Magnesium is an essential trace element in the diet. Magnesium deficiencies can result in stress or anxiety states. Magnesium in the form of glycerophosphate has better bioavailability.
α-lactalbumin is a protein derived from whey, derived from milk, known for its soothing properties.
The intake of α-lactalbumin and magnesium has shown its clinical benefit in reducing stress states and therefore in improving the well-being of the animal.
