Canestene Derm 1% cream, the active substance of which is bifonazole, belongs to the class of
imidazoles. This medication is indicated for the treatment of:
Fungal skin diseases such as:
Fungal infection in the hands and skin folds (tinea manuum)
Fungal infection in the feet and interdigital spaces of the toes (tinea pedis)
Ringworm of the body, a fungal infection of the skin (tinea corporis)
Fungal infection in the groin (tinea inguinalis)
Skin infection with severe peeling and the formation of light to dark brown spots (pytiriasis versicolor)
Fungal infection in the glans (balanitis)
Superficial bacterial infection of the skin (erythrasma)
Canestene Derm 1% cream is not suitable for the treatment of vaginal yeast infection.

HOW TO USE CANESTENE DERM 1% CREAM
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you or
pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.
Canestene Derm 1% cream is intended for external use. It is not suitable for use
vaginal. Avoid contact with mucous membranes, such as those in the mouth.

Mode of application
Apply once a day, preferably in the evening before bedtime.
Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly.
Apply a small amount to the affected area and massage in the cream.
A small amount is usually sufficient to treat an area about the size of the palm of your hand.

Duration of use
For lasting cure, treatment with bifonazole should be administered reliably and for a sufficiently long period.

Average duration of treatment:
Fungal infection in the feet or between the toes: 3 weeks
Fungal infection in the body, hands or skin folds: 2 to 3 weeks
Tinea versicolor (a skin disease often accompanied by peeling
severe and light to dark brown spots): 2 weeks
Erythrasma (a superficial bacterial infection of the skin): 2 weeks
Superficial fungal infection of the skin: 2 to 4 weeks
Canestene Derm 1% Cream is odorless, non-greasy, easily removed with water and will not stain.

What Canestene Derm 1% cream contains
The active substance is bifonazole. 15 grams of cream contains 0.15 grams of bifonazole
The other ingredients are: sorbitan monostearate, polysorbate 60, ester wax
cetyl, cetylstearyl alcohol, 2-octyldodecanol, benzyl alcohol, water purified in quantity
sufficient for 1 g of cream
