Verla® purKaps base powder is a balanced combination of minerals and trace elements. All metabolic processes and bodily functions depend on a balanced ratio of acids and bases.

To maintain this balance, the body has, among other things, buffer systems capable of neutralizing excess acids or bases. With the usual diet, an excess of acidifying substances is supplied.

These mainly consist of foods of animal origin such as meat, cold meats, milk and dairy products, but also cereal products. The most important basic sources are fruits and vegetables. Other possible reasons for excess acid are poor eating habits (too fast, too late at night or too much at once), too little exercise or fasting cures and diets.
