The test strips are designed for the quantitative measurement of glucose (sugar) in fresh capillary whole blood collected from the fingertip, forearm, arm or base of the thumb, in diabetic patients.

Use
FreeStyle Lite blood glucose electrodes are intended for use with FreeStyle Freedom Lite and FreeStyle Insulinx meters.

Test strips are for external use. They can be used both by the patient himself (self-monitoring) and by health professionals. These systems are not intended to be used for diagnosing diabetes, but should be used as an aid in monitoring the effectiveness of diabetes control programs.
