Properties:
Test cassette with 50 tests, no individual test strips
Field of use:
– For people with diabetes
– For Accu-Chek Mobile blood glucose meters
Instructions for use:
Insert the first test cassette:
Before using a new measuring device for the first time, you must insert a test cassette.
Put the very first test cassette into the meter before removing the protective film from the batteries and using the meter.
The measuring device automatically checks whether the measured value of a function check is correct. If you also want to check this yourself, you can do so with this table. In this case keep the test cassette box.
1. Slide the tip protector to the left until it stops.
2. Turn the meter over to the front.
3. Slide the release button up so that the cassette compartment cover pops open. The cassette compartment cover is fully open when it is slightly outward.
4. Remove the test cassette from the plastic container.
5. Place the test cassette in the meter with the silver side up.
6. Close the cassette compartment cover.
7. Push the cassette compartment cover shut. It must snap into place with a click.
8. Slide the tip protector to the right until it stops.
Use-by period: Period of 3 months in which a test cassette must be used up after it has been inserted for the first time.
If one of the two times, the use-by period or the best-before date, has been exceeded, you can no longer perform measurements with this test cassette.
If you start a measurement and the shelf life is about to expire or has already expired, the measuring device will inform you of this.
The first notification appears 10 days before the expiry date, the following appear 5, 2 and 1 day (s) in advance.
A message will appear if the test cassette has expired.
You only need to clean the inside of the measuring device or test cassette if the message with the text Cassette dirty: Clean device according to instructions (E-4) is displayed. The cause of the error message can be lint, crumbs or the like inside the tip of the cassette.
Precautions:
If the plastic container or the foil cover is damaged, you must not use the test cassette. Otherwise there is a risk that you will receive incorrect readings. Incorrect measured values can lead to incorrect therapy recommendations and thus to serious damage to health.
Do not open the plastic container until you want to insert the test cassette into the meter. The test cassette is protected from damage and moisture in the unopened container.
Note that the table only applies to the test cassettes in this box. Different tables apply to test cassettes from other boxes.
