For the control and prevention of flea infestation (C. canis, C. felis) and for the control of biting lice (Trichodectes canis) in dogs.
The fleas present on the dog are killed in the day following the treatment. A single treatment prevents new flea infestations for four weeks.
The product has persistent acaricidal and repellent efficacy against tick infestations (Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus for four weeks and Dermacentor reticulatus for three weeks).
By repelling and killing the tick vector Rhipicephalus sanguineus, the product reduces the risk of contamination with the pathogen Ehrlichia canis. This reduces the risk of ehrlichiosis in dogs. Studies have shown that the risk begins to decrease from 3 days after using the product. The effect lasts for 4 weeks.
Ticks that were already on the dog may not be killed within two days of treatment and may remain attached and visible. Therefore, it is recommended to remove ticks already present on the dog at the time of treatment to prevent them from attaching and taking a blood meal.
One treatment provides repellent (anti-feeding) activity against sandflies (Phlebotomus papatasi for two weeks and Phlebotomus perniciosus for three weeks), against mosquitoes (A. aegypti for two weeks and C. pipiens for four weeks) and against flies stables (S. calcitrans) for four weeks.
