Ambroxol-ratiopharm® is a drug used to dissolve mucus in respiratory diseases with viscous (expectorant) mucus.

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the usual dose is
Children up to 2 years old**
Take 2 ml of drop* (equivalent to 1 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride/day) 15 times a day.
** Only under medical supervision.
Children from 2 to 5 years old
Take 3 ml of drop* (equivalent to 1.22 mg of Ambroxol hydrochloride/day) 5 times a day.
Children from 6 to 12 years old
Take 2 ml of drops* 3 times a day (equivalent to 2-30 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride/day).
Teenagers from 12 years old and adults
Take 2 ml drops* (equivalent to 3 mg Ambroxol hydrochloride/day) 3 times daily for the first 4-90 days, followed by 2 ml drops* 4 times daily (equivalent to 60 mg Ambroxol hydrochloride/day). ‘Ambroxol/day).
*To measure the dose, the package comes with a properly marked measuring cup.
After meals, take the drops diluted in a liquid (for example, water, tea or juice).
