Description
You have a vivid imagination and tend to dream, you have the feeling of being in the moonlight.
White vine clematis, Clematis vitalba, from the Ranunculaceae family, is a plant with a bushy habit sometimes nicknamed hedge clematis or beggar weed. It appreciates generous sunshine provided it has one foot in the shade. It develops spontaneously along watercourses, at the edge of woods, in the heart of bushes and forests up to 2,000 m altitude. Robust, it can live for around thirty years.
From a purely botanical point of view, white vine clematis is a branching vine that can reach 20 meters in height. The smooth bark of its branched stems turns yellowish gray over time and then flakes off into strips. Its deciduous, oval leaves with twisted petiole are medium green. Its greenish-white flowers have spiral carpels and stamens. They bloom from July to September and are very fragrant at the end of the day. As for the fruits of the white vine clematis, they are silvery achenes bearing a silky feather which persists for a long time during the winter.
