Corsodyl is a clear colorless solution with a taste of peppermint.
Corsodyl contains chlorhexidine digluconate. This substance kills most bacteria and also some fungi.
Corsodyl is used
to prevent and fight dental deposits
in inflammations of the gum
in infections of the peripheral area of the teeth
as a disinfectant during operations near teeth
against canker sores and other infections of the mouth and throat
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.
Since many regular toothpastes contain substances that cannot be used with Corsodyl, you should rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth before using Corsodyl.
Solution for mouthwash:
Rinse your mouth twice a day for 1 minute with approximately 10 ml of the solution (= a filled measuring cap) or as directed by the doctor / dentist.
Prolonged use of Corsodyl requires regular check-up by a doctor or dentist.
If Corsodyl is used for the treatment of gingivitis, it is recommended that this medicine be used for one month.
