Dewormer for Dogs Drontal

Drontal is a broad-spectrum dewormer that treats dog infestation with roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms in a single dose. The active substances in Drontal Chien are pyrantel embonate, praziquantel and febantel. The tablets have a savory beef aroma.

Contraindications

Drontal Dog (Drontal Dog Tasty) should not be given to female dogs during the first half of the gestation period, simultaneously with another dewormer containing piperazine and to dogs weighing less than 2.5 kg.

Drontal Large Dog (Drontal Large Dog Tasty) should not be given to female dogs during the first half of the gestation period, simultaneously with another dewormer containing piperazine and to dogs weighing less than 10 kg.

Administration and Dosage

Drontal Dog (Drontal Dog Tasty): 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight. This corresponds to 15 mg febantel, 14.4 mg pyrantel embonate and 5 mg praziquantel per kg body weight.

Drontal Large Dog (Drontal Large Dog Tasty): 1 tablet per 35 kg body weight. This corresponds to 15 mg febantel, 14.4 mg pyrantel embonate and 5 mg praziquantel per kg body weight.

The tablets can be given directly to the dog on the tongue in the back of the mouth, but they can also be mixed with food.
