The cream can either be applied beforehand on a sterile gauze or spread directly on the surface to be treated on a layer approximately 2 to 3 mm thick. Before renewing applications (every 24 hours), the burn should be cleaned by washing with sterile water or with isotonic saline solution.
Burns that have not healed after 15 days of treatment with FLAMMAZINE must be the subject of a medical opinion from a hospital care service specializing in the management of burns.
