L-tryptophan 500mg (60 caps)
PZN 09424836
Essential amino acid, which cannot be produced by the body itself
Precursor of the neurotransmitter serotonin
Needed to build many human proteins
L-tryptophan is necessary for the formation of many human proteins: it is a component of muscles, but also a wide variety of enzymes. In addition, the aromatic amino acid is the precursor (provitamin) of vitamin B3, nicotinic acid.
L-tryptophan is the precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin – also known as the happiness hormone – and the sleep hormone melatonin.
L-tryptophan is an essential proteinogenic amino acid for the human body. Since it cannot be produced by the body, it must be taken in through food. Foods containing protein such as pork, chicken meat, wheat and chicken eggs are particularly suitable for this purpose.
