Mesorb is a soft, high absorbency dressing capable of retaining large amounts of exudate. The liquid-resistant outer film prevents the wound from being contaminated by external bodies and the exudate from entering clothing and bedding.
Less frequent dressing changes result in cost savings and increased patient time.
Indication
Mesorb is indicated for moderately to heavily exuding wounds. It can serve as a primary dressing and be applied directly to the wound, or as a secondary dressing if high absorption power is required (greater than that provided by Mepitel or Melgisorb Plus, for example).
Use
Thoroughly cleanse the wound if necessary and dry the surrounding skin.
Apply Mesorb directly to the wound site or to the chosen primary dressing, extending it at least 1 cm over the perilesional skin.
Hold in position with a suitable fixing system.
Mesorb can be placed under compression bandages.
Renewal
Mesorb should be renewed based on the clinical condition of the wound or when saturated.
If the condition of the wound deteriorates, discontinue applications and consult a health professional.
