Norgalax is a laxative in the form of a rectal gel.
Norgalax is used for:
– symptomatic treatment of occasional constipation of the last part of the colon (the colon
sigmoid) or rectum.
– prepare the colon and / or rectum for an examination.
You should contact your doctor if you experience no improvement or if you feel less well.
How to use Norgalax?
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.
The usual dose is:
Adults and children from 12 years old: Administer a single tube-cannula rectally.
If the effect is insufficient, a second tube can be given on the same day or the next day.
Children under 12: Not recommended.
Remove the cap and fully insert the cannula into the rectum, then squeeze the tube to empty it.
Gradually pull out the tube while squeezing. Leave on for 5 to 20 minutes.
As with all laxatives, use of the drug for a long time should be avoided. It is necessary
trying to treat chronic constipation by adjusting lifestyle and eating habits.
What Norgalax contains
– The active substance is sodium dioctylsulfosuccinate. A single-dose container with cannula
contains 120 mg of sodium dioctylsulfosuccinate.
– The other ingredients are: glycerol (E422), sodium carboxymethylcellulose (E466) and purified water
