Indications for use

For cats with or at risk of mixed parasitic infestations caused by roundworms, tapeworms and respiratory strongyles of the following species:

– roundworms (nematodes)
Toxocara cati (mature and immature adult stages and L3 and L4 larval stages)
Toxocara cati (larval stage L3): treatment of females at the end of gestation to prevent transmission to the litter via lactation.
Toxascaris leonina (mature and immature adult stages and L4 larval stage)
Ancylostoma tubaeforme (mature and immature adult stages and L4 larval stage)

– tapeworms (cestodes)
Dipylidium caninum (mature and immature adult stages)
Taenia taeniaeformis (adult stage)
Echinococcus multilocularis (adult stage)

– respiratory strongyles
Aelurostrongylus abstrusus (adult stage)

– Dosage schedule
The minimum recommended doses are 3 mg emodepside/kg body weight and 12 mg praziquantel/kg body weight, i.e. 0.14 ml PROFENDER®/kg body weight.
